Silverdale hits us hard

How the winds can change from one week to another. Is not easy being on the wrong side of big loss, however it’s always a good time to take stock and see what can be learnt from it. Silverdale, as expected, spread the ball wide and put our outside backs under plenty of pressure. On a number of occasions they broke the line with good ball skills and pace. In around the ruck area, they pushed us off the ball a number of times when we should have held on to it.  We did have some good phases of play, one of which resulted in Rhys scoring for the first time in the season.

To the boys credit, they came out in the second half and made a much better contest of it. They muscled their way up the field on a couple of occasions and dotted down for three tries in the half. The second half was a test of character, which I’m proud to say our boys took on board and stood tall.

RESULT – NORTH SHORE J2 WHITE: 24 silverdale silver 69
